eMEGAsim PowerGrid Real-Time Digital Hardware in the Loop Simulator

eMEGAsim Real-Time Digital Simulator integrates OPAL-RT  powerful electrical circuit solvers, SimPowerSystem and  RT-LAB distributed processing software and hardware platform for high speed and real-time simulation of electromagnetic transients.

eMEGAsim simulators can be fully customized to meet your I/O requirements enabling integration tests of complex systems with physical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation

 

Fully digital, real-time simulators, such as the eMEGAsim, have been comercially available since 2000, effectively replacing expensive analog simulators for the simulation of power grids using thyristor-based power electronic systems.

eMEGAsim is ideal for the Real-Time Simulation of large power systems models. Scalable from 6 to 64 processors and using very fast 10 Gbits/s communications links, eMEGAsim can simulate your model with a very small step size.  FPGA co-processors, supported through the use of Opal-RT's RT-XSG blockset can be used to push simulation time steps down to the nanoseconds range.

eMEGAsim simulators can be fully customized to meet your I/O requirements enabling integration tests of complex systems with physical Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) simulation.
